As much as I like Detroit radio growing up I loved Chicago radio maybe a little bit more. I had relatives in Chicago that I would stay with sometimes so that’s how I got this HOT Farley mix. I think Farley “JackMaster” Funk is to Chicago what “The Wizard” (Jeff Mills) is to Detroit. What I’m saying is, I think those 2 guys were the biggest radio mix DJ’s in the mid to late 80′s in these 2 cities. Who plays Dr. Martin Luther King speeches over house music? This whole mix is unbelievably hot and very long. Farley was taking requests live on the radio while mixing as a kid this blew me away. He knew where the breaks were on records so well like he made all of them.

I too was born in chicago, as well , an yes Detroit and chicago DEE-JAY’S JACK the beat’s like no one else. dj suge bear, my self and dj marco ,dj fingers out of chicago , we all Dj at the RINK ROYAL SKATE LAND in tha Big D Back in the 80′sand early 90′s. had the best times of my life in that place. Still jackin the Beat’s. now in Omaha, Ne ( House Head 4 Life) thanks much luv!!! DJaying 4 life.
